His Preparation

There’s a stirring and a shift that has already taken place in the heavens.  Intensity is building to the coming finality of those things the Lord has been shaking and putting his finger on to remove from our life.  We are in preparation.
Remembering the movie “Karate Kid” there was a preparation, wax on – wax off, which seemed irrelevant to what Daniel want to know and what Mr. Migagi had committed to teach him.  Think of the relationship between Daniel and Mr. Migagi as the one we have with the Holy Spirit.  There was a commitment, a promise to cause Daniel to know or do certain things.  The training wasn’t what Daniel thought it should be, but during the process, he learned obedience, trust was strengthened.  Character was forming that would enable him to use the gift – karate in a way that was honorable that brought joy to the heart of Mr. Migagi.
We’ve all probably wondered why we liked the move so much.  It is a visual of God’s process in our life.  A picture of the Holy Spirit who is leading, shaking, developing, blessing and releasing one He is preparing.  God has been doing the same thing with us.  He’s made promises; our preparation seemingly has taken us in the opposite direction.  We have trials, test and difficulties that cost us some of our sacred things, idols, and insecurities but at the same time, there is a formation of character and release of gifting at a new level with a greater degree of accuracy.
We are in a time of shifting, a transition releasing us into the reality of His calling, His purposes and His destiny.  We each will face a time in our call, gifting and promises that our character will show.  When His character shines through us, he is lifted up and men will be drawn to Him.  God has been shaping us, His own, His church so that in the times of darkness His character will shine.  The church has lost her voice because there was not the character of the Lord Himself shining in the midst of darkness.  He is restoring voice to His own.
