The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart. The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean enduring forever; the judgments of the Lord are pure; they are righteous altogether. They are more desirable than gold, yes than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb. Psalms 19:7-10
The Lord’s ways that are perfect – they are the producers of wisdom and restoration in our life. In this process, rejoicing takes place in our heart as He opens our eyes and allows us to see He is the one at work in us. In our relationship with Him, we see Him more and more as He says He is; our eyes open to new levels of righteousness. During this process, we begin to have understanding of how important it is for Him to open our eyes. When He opens the eyes of our spirit, we have vision. He is our vision, He opens our eyes – we see! It can be too easy to focus our on His vision for our life, our purpose, our calling, our gifting and miss seeing Him, who is our vision. It is possible to miss Him if we are focused on what rather than the who. In the year of King Uzziah’s death, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple. Isaiah 6:1 Uzziah’s name means, my strength is Jehovah. It was in a time of death, old things passing away, that the Lord was seen high and lifted up. We come to a time when even knowing the Lord as our strength seems to die. It is that place where He opens our eyes and we see Him for who He really is. Not only do we have our eyes opened to Him; there is an opening of our eyes to our own condition and to the condition of those around us. In seeing Him as our vision we come to know Him; to be known by Him with a willingness t go and be all He wills. The Lord is always speaking in His still small voice; He always brings us back to Himself. Within the Lord’s purpose for our life, there is reward, but our focus is not on the reward, but on the Lord, Himself, our vision. We do not see ourselves as the Lord sees us; consequently, we presume and many times miss the way of the Lord for the time and season. It is only by allowing the Lord, Himself, not His vision or purpose for our life to be Lord, that we will stand blameless before Him. The Lord, Himself is the one who is making a way for us to be all He created and to fulfill His vision. When the Lord is the center of our life, the focus of our eye, He becomes our vision. When He is our vision, our words and our heart will be acceptable to Him. When the vision or purpose He has given becomes the center of our focus, we become driven, ruled by things and there is a way, which seems right. He is our vision and as we see Him as He is, we become one who is willing to go where He leads. Where there is no vision the people are unrestrained; but happy is he who keeps the law. Prov. 29:18 Where there is no vision, the people perish, but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. Prov. 29: 8 It is this vision of the Lord Himself that restrains us or keeps us from perishing. The revelation of who He is brings us to the place of willingness to walk in a way with Him that keeps His ways. We then become a demonstration of the Lord in the earth to those observing our life drawing men unto Him. We have tried to tell people of the vision He has given us, but we have not walked in a way, which has demonstrated He is who He says He is. Demonstrating His power will draw people to Him. It is time to show people the vision of who He is by the opening of blind eyes. If we do not have a clear picture of who He is or see Him high and exalted, becomes easy to live a life style of unrestraint or perish (come to nothing, ruined, destroyed, or passed away) in the days ahead. Walking in such a way demonstrating we are following divine instructions and the revealed will (law) of the Lord will bring the blessings of the Lord into lives. It is in the day to day, the ordinary in which people seek Him. The world will be drawn to those who are not perishing in the days ahead for they will be seeking to have life. The world will be seeking to know those who are walking in His peace, abundance, and blessings. Without vision, the people perish. He is our vision that which we see, our guiding light. He is the revelation of the Father; not something, He has revealed as specific purpose or plan for us to follow that will keep us from perishing. Following “a vision” will cause us to become so focused we may not see the Lord Himself in our day-to-day situations and circumstances. Everything we are, do, and say is to be weighed by the person of the Lord Himself because if measured by “a vision” there can be a way opened which seems right, but will eventually lead to our destruction. Our God is a God of restoration, continuously restoring us to Himself. He becomes the focus of our eye; our vision is revelation of a loving heavenly Father, the one who is high and lifted up becomes clear. A vision may be noble, and good; a blessing but if we allow the vision to become high and lifted up, we are serving an idol, which is the created rather than the creator. The Lord is calling us unto Himself to know His ways. He declares He is a jealous God and we are to have no other gods before us. It is time to see Him high and lifted up, exalted above all. We are to know and be known by Him. It is a season where it is no longer enough just to know the Lord, but it is also our destiny to be known by Him. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:22-23
